Position the Pediatric Positioning Chair next
to the bucky. Place x-ray film in the bucky
and adjust the film position as needed
Note: The backside of the chair contains strips allowing you to quickly secure all of the safety straps.

9. POSITIONING THE PATIENT FOR X-RAYS
1. Place the patient gently on the seat. Hold the patient's head securely and attach the belly strap.
2. Position the headrest by turning the knob clockwise or counterclockwise, which will allow you to
move the chair's back up or down. The back of the patient's head should rest comfortably within the
upper padded head crescent, while also allowing them to elevate their chin slightly. Turn the knob
again to lock the chair in place.
3. Secure the chin strap using the strips on the backside of the chair.
