DIGITAL MEDIA PORT cable for AV system
Preparation
Refer to illustration , .
Install the attachment.
When you use this unit, fit the attachment supplied with your Walkman. To install
the attachment, fit the two tabs near the Walkman logo of the attachment into the
holes on this unit first, then push the opposite side down.
To remove the attachment, firmly push the concave part of the attachment toward
the rear of this unit , then push strongly the area indicated by the mark ()
from above .
Note
The shape of the attachment is different, depending on your Walkman model.
Connecting to an AV system
Refer to illustration .

Connect the DIGITAL MEDIA PORT cable of this unit to the
DIGITAL MEDIA PORT jack of an AV system (). Make sure the AV
system is turned off before connecting.
Connect the cable so that both marks are aligned.

Turn on the AV system with a DIGITAL MEDIA PORT jack
connected to this unit, and select the DMPORT function.
For details on how to select the DIGITAL MEDIA PORT function, refer to the
operation manual of the AV system.

Attach the Walkman to the WM-PORT connector on the top of this
unit ().
Note
Insert the Walkman firmly into this unit.
To disconnect the AV system
To remove the DIGITAL MEDIA PORT cable from the AV system, press both side
buttons().
Controlling the Walkman
You can operate the Walkman by the control buttons and the
remote of the connected AV system.
After setting the Walkman to audio data playback mode, you can perform basic
Walkman operations with the following buttons.
Press
To
Start play.
Pause/Stop play.
Skip to the next (previous) track.
Hold down to fast-forward (fast-rewind) play.
Fast-forward (fast-rewind) play.

Skip to the next (previous) folder.
VOLUME +/–
Adjust the volume level.
* Some operations may not be performed or may differ depending on the Walkman
model.

When operating a Walkman with the Bluetooth
function from an AV system, be sure
to turn off the Bluetooth function before use.
If you encounter problems (e.g., there is no sound), disconnect and reconnect the
Walkman.
While this unit is connected to an AV system, no sound is output from the headphone
jack of the Walkman.
If you attach a Walkman with a built-in FM tuner to this unit, you may not be able to
hear the FM broadcast, or reception may be lowered.
Set the sound mode of the Walkman to normal or flat-sound quality.
This unit does not support video output.
To change the volume level, use the volume controls on the connected AV system or
the remote. The volume level does not change even if adjusted on the Walkman.
Charging a Walkman

Turn on the AV system.

Attach the Walkman to the WM-PORT connector on the top of this
unit ().
Charging starts. Charging time will vary, depending on the Walkman model. For
details, refer to the Operation Guide of the Walkman.
Note
Depending on the connected AV system, when it is in STANDBY mode, the Walkman
will not charge.

Lorsque vous utilisez cet appareil, vous devez installer l'adaptateur fourni avec votre
Walkman. Pour installer l'adaptateur, introduisez tout d'abord les deux languettes

le côté opposé vers le bas.
Pour retirer l'adaptateur, poussez fermement la partie incurvée de l'adaptateur vers

Branchez le câble DIGITAL MEDIA PORT de cet appareil à la prise

Commande du Walkman
Vous pouvez faire fonctionner le Walkman avec les touches de
commande et la télécommande de la chaîne AV connectée.
Après avoir réglé le Walkman en mode de lecture de données audio, vous pouvez

Remarques

En cas de problème (il n'y a pas de son, par exemple), déconnectez et reconnectez le
Walkman.
Pendant que cet appareil est connecté à une chaîne AV, aucun son n' e st émis de la prise
de casque du Walkman.
Si vous raccordez un Walkman avec tuner FM intégré à cet appareil, il se peut que vous
ne puissiez pas entendre les émissions FM ou que la réception soit faible.
Réglez le mode de son du Walkman sur une qualité normale ou de son linéaire.
Cet appareil ne prend pas en charge la sortie vidéo.
Pour modifier le niveau du volume, utilisez les commandes de volume de la chaîne AV
raccordée ou la télécommande. Le niveau du volume ne change pas s'il est réglé sur le
Walkman.
