SELF-PROPELLED OPERATION
(AUGER ENGAGED)
See Figures 7 - 8.
To operate the auger and the self-propelled feature at
the same time:
 Install battery packs as previously described.
 Press and hold the start button. Squeeze auger paddle
and release the start button when the auger starts.
 Squeeze the self-propel paddle and the snow blower will
begin to move.
NOTE: Once the self-propel paddle is squeezed, the
auger paddle will lock in place.
 Release the auger paddle and adjust the auger speed,
drive speed, and/or direction of movement as desired.
 To stop the auger and disengage the self-propel function,
release the self-propel paddle.
LED HEADLIGHTS
See Figures 7 and 9.
The LED headlights, located on the control panel and auger
housing, illuminate when the light button is pressed. Press
the light button again to turn off all of the lights.
When the tool is not in use, the time-out feature will cause
the lights to shut off.
ADJUSTING THE CHUTE
See Figures 10 - 11.
The chute can be adjusted to change both the direction and
the distance to assist you in moving snow away from one
area and placing it in another.
The direction of snow removal can be adjusted up to 180º.
 Push the chute rotation lever forward to rotate the chute
to the left.
 Pull the chute rotation lever back to rotate the chute to
the right.
The distance the snow is moved is adjusted using the de-
flector angle lever.
 Push the deflector angle lever forward to tilt the chute
deflector up and increase the distance the snow will be
thrown.
 Pull the deflector angle lever rearward to tilt the chute
deflector down and decrease the distance the snow will
be thrown.

WARNING:
Never use snow blower on frozen lakes, rivers, or similar
surfaces. Death or serious injury could occur if the ice
breaks.
WARNING:
Never use the snow blower on a rooftop or other unstable
surface, which can result in death or serious personal
injury.
WARNING:
Do not use snow blower on ice, which can cause the
operator to slip and fall, resulting in possible serious
personal injury.
WARNING:
Do not wear loose clothing, scarves, or jewelry. They can
be caught in moving parts and cause death or serious
personal injury.
WARNING:
Keep all snow discharge pointed away from all electri-
cal devices to reduce the risk of electrocution or electric
shock.
WARNING:
Never point the snow blower or discharge chute in the
direction of people or pets. Thrown snow or other objects
can cause serious personal injuries.
WARNING:
Make sure the area to be cleared is free of stones, sticks,
wires, gravel, and other objects that could be accidentally
thrown by the snow blower in any direction and cause
serious personal injury to the operator and others.
