    Using Your Notebook Computer Connecting a Power Source ✍ Use your notebook only with the supplied AC adapter. To disconnect your notebook completely from mains voltage, unplug the AC adapter. Please make sure that the socket outlet is easily accessible. Connecting a Power Source You can use either AC power or a rechargeable battery pack as a power source.

The computer automatically charges the battery (the battery indicator light flashes in a double blink pattern as the battery charges). When the battery is 85% full, the battery indicator light turns off This process takes about 2 hours when power is off.

To avoid loss of data when using battery power, you should save your data frequently and manually activate a power management mode, such as system suspend or system hibernation.
