In addition to improved image quality, the 3rd-
Generation Super CCD offers an unrivaled wide range
of sensitivities, from ISO 200 equivalency to ultra-
high-speed ISO 800* and 1600* performance. That
makes it ideal for capturing atmospheric low-light
images without the aid of flash, or for freezing fast-
moving subjects. And thanks to newly developed Noise
Reduction Technology, noise will not significantly
affect photos, even at the highest sensitivity setting.

bag, the FinePix F401 features a unique sliding-grip
power switch with eye-catching cool blue lights. Its
fine brushed-metal case exudes quality, while its
tiny dimensions of 85 69.4 27.5mm (3.3 2.7
1.1 inches) and mere 185 g weight (excluding bat-
tery) assure that you'll always have it with you,
ready for the next photo opportunity.
3 optical zooming
With its Super EBC Fujinon 3 optical zoom lens
(equivalent to 38-114mm on a 35mm camera), the
FinePix F401 rivals full-size cameras in shooting
versatility. Smooth digital zooming up to 3.6 (in
640 480-pixel mode) helps bring the action right
in front of your eyes. In fact, by combining both
optical and digital zooming, the FinePix F401 can
effectively magnify images up to approximately
10.8 – equivalent to a 410mm lens.
