    Getting started Charging the battery Charge the battery before using it for the first time or when it has been unused for extended periods. Wired charging Connect the USB cable to the USB power adaptor and plug the cable into the device’s multipurpose jack to charge the battery.

    Getting started Turning the device off To turn off the device, press and hold the Side key and the Volume Down key simultaneously. Alternatively, open the notification panel, swipe downwards, and then tap Tap Power off. To restart the device, tap Restart. You can set the device to turn off when you press and hold the Side key.

    Finding your ID and resetting your password If you forget your Samsung account ID or password, tap Find ID or Forgot password? on the Samsung account sign-in screen. You can find your ID or reset your password after you enter the required information.

  • Page 35 Apps and features Charging the S Pen The S Pen must be charged before you can control apps remotely by using the S Pen button. When the S Pen and the S Pen charger are properly aligned, charging will begin. If the Air action feature is deactivated, the S Pen will be charged only when the device is charging.
  • Page 36 Apps and features Taking pictures with the S Pen Even though you take pictures with your device placing for a distance, you can easily take pictures by pressing the S Pen button without setting a timer. Launch the Settings app, tap Advanced features → S Pen → Air actions, and then tap the switch to activate the feature.

Then, open the Air actions setting screen and tap → Reset S Pen. • You can only connect Samsung-approved S Pens that support Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). • Do not detach the S Pen from the device when it is being connected.
