Ami Bios Setup; Main Setup - FIC PA-2011 Manual

The mainboard comes with an AMI BIOS chip that contains the ROM Setup
information of your system. This chip serves as an interface between the
processor and the rest of the mainboard's components. This chapter explains the
information contained in the Setup program and tells you how to modify the
settings according to your system configuration.

Main Setup

The Main Setup screen is displayed above. Each item may have one or more
option settings. It allows you to change the system Date and Time, IDE hard
disk, floppy disk drive types for drive A: and B:.
Auto-Detect Hard Disks
Allows the system BIOS to detect all hard disk parameters automatically.
Boot Sector Virus Protection
When Enabled, a warning will be given when any program or virus sends a
Disk Format command or tries to write to the boot sector of a hard disk drive.
