Using Digital Effects

You can use the digital effects during recording and playback.
Faders ( 66): Begin or end scenes with a fade to or from black.
Effects ( 69): Add flavor to your recordings.

❍ Turn off the digital effect when you do not use it.
Press the SELECT button to open the menu. Select [D.EFFECTS |] and press
the SELECT button.
❍ The camcorder retains the setting even if you turn it off or change the program
AE mode.
❍ The digital effect turns off if you turn the mode dial to [.
❍ Digital effects can be selected but not activated on a blank blue screen
(appears in PLAY (VCR) mode).
❍ Digital effects activated during playback do not change the recording.
❍ Digital effects cannot be used during DV dubbing and photo/date search.
❍ The image quality may be slightly lower with digital effects.
