Cause
The Document Cover was opened too
hard.

The scanner driver (ScanGear) is not
installed.

58 Troubleshooting
If the Document Cover is opened too hard, it may come off. Reattach it
according to the following procedure.
(1)Insert the protrusion on one side of the Document Cover hinge into the
holder.
(2)Hold the middle of the Document Cover and press down above the second
protrusion as shown in the figure below to reattach the Document Cover.
Follow the procedure described in your setup sheet to reinstall the MP Drivers.
