"Digital Voice Editor" Software
Symptom
"Digital Voice Editor"
software cannot be
installed.
Messages recorded
using the IC recorder
cannot be transferred
to the computer.
Messages or ICS/
WAV files cannot be
played back.
Saved ICS files
cannot be played
back.
Saved WAV files
cannot be played
back.
Playback sound
volume is too low.
The software 'hangs'
when "Digital Voice
Editor" software
starts up.
Remedy
•The memory space on the computer is too
small. Allocate a larger memory space.
•Check that the installation of the software or
the connection has been successful.
•Refer to the "Error messages" in the online
Help files.
•No sound board is installed (page 45).
•No speaker is built-in or connected to the
computer.
•The computer has been muted.
•Install the Digital Voice Player. (When the
"Digital Voice Editor" is installed, the Digital
Voice Player is automatically installed. See the
online Help files for details.)
•The software does not support playback of
WAV files. Install the software which supports
playback of WAV files (e.g. Microsoft Sound
Recorder).
•Turn up the volume on the computer. (Refer to
the instruction manual of the computer.)
•The volume of WAV files can be changed and
saved using the "Increase Volume" feature of
the Microsoft Sound Recorder.
•There may be conflict between the software
and other driver or application.
