Inserting PC Cards

Inserting a PC Card
Before inserting a PC Card, read the documentation that
came with the card to see if it has any special requirements.
To install a PC Card:
1 Locate the PC Card slot on your computer.
2 Insert the PC Card in the slot.
3 When the card is almost all the way into the slot, push
firmly, but gently, to ensure a good connection with the
computer. Do not force the card into position.

Removing PC Cards

1 Press the PC Card eject button once to extend it, then
press it again to remove the card
2 The PC Card pops out about an inch.

3 Grasp the edges of the PC Card and carefully slide it out
of the slot.
Hot swapping
One of the great things about PC Cards is that you can
replace one PC Card with another while the computer is on.
This is called "hot swapping."
