6 Troubleshooting

6 Troubleshooting
Note
All ventilation units are set up as
MASTER units at the factory.
Applicability: VAZ CPC
Conditions: The control does not connect to the
MASTER.
Switch off the product.
Ensure that the fan unit is correctly
mounted on the wall-mounting frame
and the contact for the plug connection
has been established.
Applicability: VAZ CPCW
Conditions: The control does not connect to the
MASTER.
Ensure that the radio link is ≤ 20 m.
Or:
Reset the control to the factory settings.
Reconnect the control to the MASTER
using the correct code.
Or:
Switch off the product.
Ensure that the fan unit is correctly
mounted on the wall-mounting frame
and the contact for the plug connection
has been established.
Conditions: Ventilation units only work in night
mode
Ensure that the brightness sensor on
the MASTER is not covered.

6.1 Replacing defective controls

1. Permanently decommission the
product. (→ Page 32)
2. Mount the control on the wall.
(→ Page 30)
3. Connect the control to the electricity
supply. (→ Page 31)

6.2 Resetting the control to factory
settings
Applicability: VAZ CPC
OR VAZ CPCW
If required, you can reset the control to
factory settings in order to reassign it
to a MASTER ventilation unit. Existing
assignments are deleted when you do
this.
Interrupt the power supply to the con-
trol.
Re-establish the power supply to the
control.
The LED (3) lights up for 10
seconds.
Press the button (4) five times while
the LED (3) is lit up.
The LED (3) lights up and remains
lit.
Interrupt the power supply to the con-
trol.
Re-establish the power supply to the
control.

7 Decommissioning

7.1 Permanently decommissioning
the product
1. Disconnect the installation from the
power supply.
2. Secure against being switched back on
again.
3. Disconnect the control from the wall
base by carefully using a suitable flat-
blade screwdriver to pry open the
latching lugs on the inside via the two
openings on the underside.
4. Loosen the electrical wires for the
power supply and the control wires
from the terminals on the rear of the
control.
5. Unscrew the wall base.
