Defeat Siren Alert Option

This function is to set the Weather Monitor, when receiving some
types of weather emergency messages, not to generate the siren or
voice alert but only display the message in order not to annoy you.
The responses followed by an asterisk in the above table can be
silenced.
(For example: Administrative message ALERTDISABLE.)
To program the emergency messages you want to silence, do the
following:
a. To set the defeat siren alerts press "MENU" button.
b. Press "▲" button until "DEFEAT SIREN" is displayed.
c. Press "SELECT" button.
d. Using "▲or▼" , scroll through the different alerts you may want to
silence.
e. When you have selected one, press " " to change the status of
the event from "ALERT ENABLE" to "ALERT DISABLE".
f. Pres "MENU" button to save your selection and exit the
programming option.

Selectable Alert Reference Chart

This table contains the NWR descriptions of 81 types of alerts that your
MD-319 will display. The display text and type of alert level are shown for
each type of alert. And all the alert type is default "On".
