Caution! When using solvents and cleaning agents such as trichlorethylene and
methylene chloride, chemical reactions can occur on the aluminum cup, gun and on
galvanized components (small quantities of water added to trichlorethyelen produce
hydrochloric acid). This can cause oxidation of the components (in extreme cases, the
reaction can be explosive). Therefore, only use solvents and cleaning agents for your
spray gun which do not contain the substances named above. Never use acid for cleaning
purposes.
Warning! Never point spray gun at yourself or at other people. Solvents and diluting
agents can cause burns. Before any repair work may be carried out, the unit must be
disconnected from the compressed air network and pressure must be released. Before
starting to use the spray gun, particularly after repairs, ensure that screws and nuts are
correctly tightened and check that the gun and hoses do not leak.
Application
This spray gun is shipped ready for use with any tank type
compressor delivering at least 5 to 10 SCFM at 40 PSI for
intermittent use, 9.3 SCFM at 40 PSI for continuous use.
This non-bleeder type spray gun requires a compressor with
an air regulator and an automatic start/stop pressure switch.
The spray gun has a built-in air valve which shuts off the air
flow through the spray gun when the trigger is released.
The cup provided is designed for suction feed only, which
makes it ideal for applying light and medium bodied paints
(stains and lacquers). This gun is not designed for gasoline
or glues.
Setting-up your Spray Gun
Make sure the cup and air hose are properly connected
tightly to the spray gun. Set the air compressor pressure
between 50 and 80 PSI depending on the amount of pressure required. The recommended
spraying distance is 10-12".
Adjusting the Spray Direction and Width
To obtain a horizontal or vertical spray, loosen nozzle locking ring (A) and turn the tip of the
nozzle (B) to the desired direction. When nozzle wings are horizontal, the spray pattern will
be more vertical. Retighten the nozzle locking ring.
To adjust the pattern width of spray, turn the pattern width adjustment knob (C). Turn the
knob to the left to increase the pattern width.
Adjusting the Fluid Volume Output
Turning the fluid volume output knob (D) clockwise will reduce the volume of fluid and
counterclockwise will increase the volume of fluid.
Maintenance after use
To maintain your spray gun, it must be cleaned thoroughly after each use. Be careful not
to damage the air cap, fluid nozzle and fluid needle. Use a brush with thinner or compatible
solvent to clean air cap and fluid nozzle. Never immerse the spray gun completely into
thinner or compatible solvent. Spray thinner to clean out the paint passageway.
