Power Trim And Tilt Unit Will Not Operate; Water Separator-Alert Is Activated After Leaving Port - Yamaha F90 Owner's Manual

Trouble Recovery
If a fuse has blown, replace the fuse accord-
ing to the following procedure.
1. Turn the main switch to the "
position.
2. Remove the fuse box cover.
3. Remove the fuse with a fuse puller, and
then replace it with a spare one of the
proper amperage.

1. Fuse puller
Consult your Yamaha dealer if the new fuse
immediately blows again.

Power trim and tilt unit will not oper-
ate

WARNING
Never get under the engine while it is tilt-
ed. Severe injury could occur if the out-
board motor accidentally falls.
If the outboard motor cannot be tilted up or
down using the power trim and tilt unit be-
cause of a discharged battery or a failure with

the power trim and tilt unit, the outboard mo-
tor can be tilted manually.
1. Stop the engine.

2. Loosen the manual valve screw by turn-
ing it counterclockwise until it stops.

3. Tilt the outboard motor up manually to
the desired position, and then tighten the
manual valve screw by turning it clock-
wise.

Do not perform this procedure on a hot
or running engine. Allow the engine to
cool.
