Preparation of Servicing The laser diode used for a pickup head may be destroyed with external static electricity. Moreover, even if it is operating normally after repair, when static electricity discharge is received at the time of repair, the life of the product may be shortened. Please perform the following measure against static electricity, and be careful of destruction of a laser diode at the time of repair.

System Disassembly Disassembly Tools The following tools are required for disassembling the system. • Wrist-grounding strap and conductive mat for preventing electrostatic discharge • Philips screwdriver • Hex screwdriver Disassembly Reminders • Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) precautions should be observed to prevent damaging the internal components.
Disassembly Procedures 15DV703R Lay down the LCD TV on a flat, stable surface with the rear cover facing up. Make sure the edge of the front bezel is hanging over the edge of the surface. Remove the screws holding the TV to its stand, and then remove the stand.

Disconnect the inverter cables from the power board. Remove the tape and release the LVDS cable from the panel. Detach the panel from the front cover.

Disconnect the inverter and panel power cable from the power board. Remove the tape and release the LVDS cable from the panel. Detach the back cover.
