Positioners equipped with manifolds have three secondary filters
as part of the unit. If the filters become clogged, they can be
cleaned (by removing and reverse flushing with air or liquid) or
replaced by kit number 258487_1. Refer to
filter replacement procedures.
For long term, troublefree operation, it is recommended that the
air supply meet the following specifications:
1. For operation below 4.4°C (40°F), dew point at line pressure
should be -7.7ºC (18ºF) below minimum expected operating tem-
perature.
2. Supply air is required to be of instrument air quality, and
should conform to ISA S7.3 standard.
3. Oil content of air supply should be as low as possible: 1.0
parts per million is the recommended maximum.
4. Particle size in the supply line should not exceed three
microns.
1. Connect the required supply air to connection S. Refer to Fig-
ure 3-7.
NOTES:
1. Maximum torque for ¼-inch NPT fittings is 13.6 Nm (10 ft-lbs).
2. Make sure port I is plugged (not used).
