Setting up the Hardware
1 Contact your Internet service provider (ISP) to obtain specific information
about the connection requirements for your broadband modem.
2 Ensure that you have Internet access through your broadband modem.
3 Install any software required for your router. Your router may have been
shipped with installation media, which usually contains installation and
troubleshooting information. Install the required software according to the
instructions provided by the router manufacturer.
Connecting to the Network
From your computer's Control Panel, click Network and Internet
connections→ Network and Sharing Center.
The Network Connection Wizard may start automatically, or you may have to
click an option for setting up a connection or network.
Actual steps may vary based on the operating system installed in your
computer. Follow the instructions on the screen.
