COMPETENZE MECCANICHE - La maggior parte delle operazioni di manutenzione e riparazione della bicicletta
richiedono competenze specifiche, esperienza e attrezzatura adeguata. La semplice attitudine alla meccanica potrebbe
non essere sufficiente per operare correttamente sulla vostra bicicletta. Se avete dubbi sulla vostra capacità di effettuare
tali operazioni, rivolgetevi a personale specializzato.

come fuori strada o sentieri è proibito.
CICLO VITALE - USURA - NECESSITA' DI ISPEZIONE -Il ciclo vitale dei componenti Campagnolo
tori, per esempio il peso dell'utilizzatore e le condizioni di utilizzo. Urti, cadute, incidenti, più in generale un uso impro-
prio o aggressivo possono compromettere l'integrità strutturale delle componenti, riducendone considerevolmente il
ciclo vitale. Alcuni componenti sono inoltre soggetti a usura nel tempo. Vi preghiamo di far ispezionare regolarmente
la bicicletta e i suoi componenti da un meccanico qualificato per controllare che non vi siano cricche, deformazioni,
segni di logoramento o usura. Durante questi controlli, è necessario smontare i componenti della bicicletta, soprattutto
i pedali. Se l'ispezione evidenziasse qualsiasi deformazione, cricca, segni di impatto o di fatica, non importa quanto pic-
coli, rimpiazzate immediatamente il componente; anche i componenti eccessivamente usurati devono essere immedia-
tamente sostituiti. La frequenza delle ispezioni dipende da molti fattori; contattate un rappresentante della Campagnolo
S.r.l. per scegliere l'intervallo più adatto a voi. Se pesate più di 82 kg/180 lbs, dovete prestare particolare attenzione e
fare ispezionare la vostra bicicletta con una maggiore frequenza (rispetto a chi pesa meno di 82 kg/180 lbs) per control-
lare se vi siano cricche, deformazioni, indicazioni di fatica o usura. Verificate con il vostro meccanico che i componenti
Campagnolo ® che avete scelto siano adatti all'uso che ne farete e stabilite con lui la frequenza delle ispezioni.
Avviso Importante su PRESTAZIONI, SICUREZZA E GARANZIA - Gentile cliente, ti ricordiamo che per ottenere le
migliori prestazioni della tua trasmissione EPS e per non compromettere la sicurezza, le prestazioni, la longevità e la
funzionalità di questa, è assolutamente necessario utilizzare i 6 componenti della trasmissione EPS con i componenti
della trasmissione meccanica ad 11 velocità Campagnolo; in nessun caso è possibile utilizzare i componenti EPS con
componenti non di produzione Campagnolo.
L'utilizzatore di questo prodotto Campagnolo riconosce espressamente che l'uso della bicicletta può comportare dei

rischi che includono la rottura di un componente della bicicletta come pure altri rischi, dando luogo a incidenti, lesioni
fisiche o morte. Acquistando e utilizzando questo prodotto Campagnolo
riamente e coscientemente e/o assume tali rischi e accetta di non imputare alla Campagnolo S.r.l. la colpa di qualsiasi
danno che ne potrebbe derivare.
1 - MONTAGGIO DELLA POWER UNIT
ATTENZIONE!
TUTTE LE OPERAZIONI DI CONNESSIONE, MONTAGGIO, SMONTAGGIO E REGOLAZIONE DELLA
VOSTRA POWER UNIT EPS DEVONO ESSERE ESEGUITE SOLO ED ESCLUSIVAMENTE DA UN SERVICE
CENTER CAMPAGNOLO, UN PRO-SHOP CAMPAGNOLO O UN MECCANICO SPECIALIZZATO NEL
MONTAGGIO DEI GRUPPI EPS. VI PREGHIAMO INOLTRE DI RICORDARE CHE LA MANOMISSIONE
O IL MONTAGGIO SCORRETTO O INCOMPLETO, ANCHE DI UN SOLO COMPONENTE DEL GRUPPO
EPS, COMPORTA AUTOMATICAMENTE LA DECADENZA DA OGNI GARANZIA.
ATTENZIONE!
NOTA PER MECCANICI SPECIALIZZATI
Vi ricordiamo che tutte le procedure di montaggio, smontaggio, regolazione e manutenzione della
trasmissione EPS sono descritte all'interno del manuale tecnico EPS, disponibile in formato pdf nel
nostro sito internet www.campagnolo.com.
In caso di montaggio/smontaggio e manutenzione dei componenti si deve spegnere la trasmissione EPS
inserendo il magnete nella sede presente nella Power Unit (A - Fig.1), oppure posizionando l'apposita fascia
magnetica di spegnimento (B - Fig.2) nella zona sensibile presente a circa 8 cm dal rivetto C (Fig. 2).
AVVERTENZA
In caso di difficoltà di spegnimento, verificare che i 3 magneti, presenti sulla fascia magnetica di spegnimento,
siano tutti orientati con uguale polarità.

DIAGNOSTICA DEL GRUPPO EPS
IMPORTANTE!
La gestione della diagnostica viene effettuata dall'interfaccia, vi preghiamo quindi di fare riferimento
al foglio istruzioni fornito in dotazione con l'interfaccia.
Nel caso in cui utilizziate questa Power Unit con una trasmissione EPS di gamma 2012 2013, il sistema
di diagnostica funzionerà correttamente SOLO sostituendo anche l'interfaccia con la versione 2014
(codice IF14-...). In caso contrario, qualora dovesse essere rilevato un malfuzionamento, non apparirà
nessuna indicazione luminosa sull'interfaccia.

COME RICARICARE LA POWER UNIT EPS
Fate riferimento alle istruzioni del caricabatterie EPS fornite in dotazione con il prodotto.
LA PRIMA VOLTA CHE RICEVETE LA BICICLETTA, EFFETTUATE UN CICLO DI RICARICA COMPLETO DELLA
BATTERIA DEL GRUPPO EPS PRIMA DI USCIRE.
4 - CONDIZIONI DI UTILIZZO / MANUTENZIONE DELLA POWER UNIT EPS
In caso di montaggio/smontaggio e manutenzione dei componenti si deve spegnere la trasmissione EPS
inserendo il magnete nella sede presente nella Power Unit (A - Fig.1), oppure posizionando l'apposita fascia
magnetica di spegnimento (B - Fig.2) nella zona sensibile presente a circa 8 cm dal rivetto C (Fig. 2).
Poiché la Power Unit EPS contiene il pacco batteria, è necessario:
• Utilizzare esclusivamente il caricabatterie fornito in dotazione alla trasmissione EPS.
• non smontare o modificare in alcun modo la Power Unit EPS.
• non utilizzare la Power Unit EPS in presenza di danni esterni.
• non utilizzare la Power Unit EPS in caso di deformazioni o condizioni anomale.
- Rev01- 09/2015 • conservare la Power Unit EPS in un luogo sicuro, fuori dalla portata di bambini e animali.
CON LA BATTERIA COMPLETAMENTE CARICA È POSSIBILE PERCORRERE CIRCA 1700 KM; SE LA CARICA
RIMANENTE SCENDE AL 25% È POSSIBILE PERCORRERE ANCORA CIRCA 400 KM.
PERICOLO!
Non scaldare o gettare nel fuoco la Power Unit EPS. Non lasciare la Power Unit EPS in luoghi in cui la
temperatura potrebbe superare i 60°C (interni di veicoli durante le giornate più calde, luoghi in prossi-
mità di stufe). La mancata osservanza di queste prescrizioni potrebbe causare surriscaldamenti, incendi
ed esplosioni ed essere causa di gravi lesioni o morte.
IMPORTANTE!
Se non si intende utilizzare la Power Unit EPS per periodi prolungati, è necessario spegnerla (inserendo il
magnete nella sede presente nella Power Unit EPS (A - Fig.1), oppure utilizzando l'apposita fascia magnetica
di spegnimento (B - Fig.2) e conservarla in un luogo sicuro. Vi raccomandiamo inoltre di controllare lo stato
della batteria all'incirca ogni sei mesi e di effettuare comunque, ogni sei mesi, una ricarica completa.
• La durata della batteria è legata a vari fattori quali le condizioni di utilizzo ed il metodo di conservazione.
Ricordate che nel caso in cui la Power Unit EPS venga conservato in luoghi eccessivamente caldi o freddi, le
prestazioni e la durata della batteria potrebbero essere ridotte.
• La batteria è un prodotto deteriorabile e perde gradualmente le capacità di carica, conseguentemente all'u-
so ripetuto e con il passare del tempo. Nel caso in cui la durata di utilizzo si riduca sensibilmente, è possibile
che la batteria sia esaurita ed è quindi necessario acquistare una nuova Power Unit EPS.
IMPORTANTE!
Per la pulizia della Power Unit EPS, utilizzate solo acqua e sapone neutro, non utilizzate alcool,
acetone o solventi.
Per quel che riguarda il corretto smaltimento del della Power Unit EPS, fate riferimento alla
normativa vigente nel vostro paese di utilizzo.
NOTA
Non lavate mai la vostra bicicletta con acqua a pressione. L'acqua a pressione, perfino quella che esce dall'u-
gello di una canna da giardino, può oltrepassare le guarnizioni ed entrare all'interno dei vostri componenti
Campagnolo ® , danneggiandoli irreparabilmente. Lavate la vostra bicicletta e i componenti Campagnolo
pulendo delicatamente con acqua e sapone ed asciugandoli accuratamente.

knowledge, tools and experience. General mechanical aptitude may not be sufficient to properly service or repair
your bicycle. If you have any doubt whatsoever regarding your service/repair ability, please take your bicycle to a
qualified repair shop.
INTENDED USE - This Campagnolo

bicycles that are ridden only on smooth road or track surfaces. Any other use of this product, such as off-road or on
trails is forbidden.
"AN ACCIDENT" - Please note that throughout this manual, reference is made that "an accident" could occur.
Any accident could result in damage to your bicycle, its components and, more importantly, could cause you or a
bystander to sustain severe personal injury or even death.

LIFESPAN - WEAR - INSPECTION REQUIREMENT - The lifespan of Campagnolo
factors, such as rider size and riding conditions. Impacts, falls, improper use or harsh use in general may compromise
the structural integrity of the components and significantly reduce their lifespan. Some components are also subject
to wear over time. Please have your bicycle and its components regularly inspected by a qualified mechanic for any
cracks, deformation, signs of fatigue or wear. Disassembly your bicycle components and especially the pedals, is
required during these inspections. If the inspection reveals any deformation, cracks, impact marks or stress marks,
no matter how slight, immediately replace the component; components that have experienced excessive wear also
need immediate replacement. The frequency of inspection depends on many factors; check with your authorized
representative of Campagnolo S.r.l. to select a schedule that is best for you. If you weigh 82 kg/180 lbs or more, you
must be especially vigilant and have your bicycle inspected more frequently (than someone weighting less than 82
kg/180 lbs) for any evidence of cracks, deformation, or other signs of fatigue or stress. Check with your mechanic to
discuss whether the components you selected are suitable for your use, and to determine the frequency of inspec-
tions.
Important PERFORMANCE, SAFETY and WARRANTY Notice - Dear customer, Please remember that to maximise
the performance of your EPS drivetrain and ensure that its safety, performance, longevity and functionality are not
compromised, the 6 components of the EPS drivetrain must be used with the components of the Campagnolo 11
speed mechanical drivetrain; EPS components cannot be used together with components not manufactured by
Campagnolo.
The user of this Campagnolo ® product expressly recognizes that there are risks inherent in bicycle riding, including

1 - POWER UNIT ASSEMBLY
WARNING!
ALL CONNECTION, INSTALLATION, REMOVAL AND ADJUSTMENT OPERATIONS FOR YOUR EPS POWER
UNIT MUST ONLY BE CARRIED OUT BY A CAMPAGNOLO SERVICE CENTER, A CAMPAGNOLO PRO-SHOP
OR A MECHANIC SPECIALISED IN INSTALLING EPS SYSTEMS. ANY TAMPERING WITH OR INCORRECT
OR INCOMPLETE INSTALLATION OF ANY PART OF THE EPS SYSTEM WILL AUTOMATICALLY VOID THE
WARRANTY.
NOTE FOR SPECIALISED MECHANICS!
Please remember that all assembly, disassembly, adjustment and maintenance procedures for the EPS drive-
train are described in the EPS technical manual, which is available in PDF format on our internet site www.
campagnolo.com.
When installing or removing components, the EPS drivetrain must be switched off by inserting the magnet in
the respective seat on the Power Unit (A - Fig.1), or by placing the specific power-off magnetic strip (B - Fig.2)
in the sensor zone approximately 8 cm from rivet C (Fig. 2).
CAUTION
If the unit does not switch off, check that the 3 magnets on the magnetic power-off strip are all aligned with
the same polarity.
2 - EPS SYSTEM DIAGNOSTICS
IMPORTANT!
Diagnosis is performed from the interface. See the instruction sheet included with the interface unit.
When using this Power Unit with a 2012-2013 range EPS drivetrain, the diagnostic system will ONLY
function correctly if the existing interface is replaced with the 2014 version (part number IF14-...). If
the interface is not replaced, the indicator lamp on the interface will not indicate any faults identified
by the system.

HOW TO RECHARGE THE EPS POWER UNIT
See the EPS battery charger instructions included with the product.
WHEN YOU RECEIVE THE NEW BICYCLE, PERFORM A COMPLETE CHARGE CYCLE FOR THE EPS UNIT
BATTERY BEFORE USING THE BICYCLE.
4 - CONDITIONS FOR USING / SERVICING THE EPS POWER UNIT
When installing or removing components, the EPS drivetrain must be switched off by inserting the magnet in
the respective seat on the Power Unit (A - Fig.1), or by placing the specific power-off magnetic strip (B - Fig.2)
in the sensor zone approximately 8 cm from rivet C (Fig. 2).
As the EPS Power Unit contains the battery pack:
• Only use the battery charger supplied with the EPS drivetrain.
• do not dismantle or make any modifications to the EPS Power Unit.
• do not use the EPS Power Unit if there is any visible external damage to the unit itself.
• do no use the EPS Power Unit if damaged or malfunctioning.
• keep the EPS Power Unit in a safe place, out of reach of children and animals.
A RANGE OF APPROXIMATELY 1700 KM IS POSSIBLE WITH A FULLY CHARGED BATTERY; WHEN THE
RESIDUAL CHARGE REACHES 25%, THE REMAINING RANGE IS APPROXIMATELY 400 KM.
DANGER!
Keep the EPS Power Unit away from heat and do not dispose of the unit in fire. Do not leave the EPS
Power Unit in a place where the temperature may exceed 60°C (e.g. in a car on a hot day or near
fireplaces or heaters). Failure to observe these instructions may cause overheating, fire or explosion
and result in severe injury or death.
IMPORTANT!
If you do not intend to use the EPS Power Unit for a prolonged period, it must be switched off by inserting the
magnet in the respective seat on the EPS Power Unit (A - Fig.1), or by using the specific power-off magnetic
strip (B - Fig.2), and kept in a safe place. We also recommend checking the battery charge level and fully
charging the battery approximately once every six months.
• Battery lifetime depends on a number of different factors, such as usage and storage conditions. Note that
if the EPS Power Unit is stored in excessively cold or hot conditions, battery performance and lifespan may
be reduced.
• The battery is a perishable product and charge capacity will reduce gradually with repeated use and over
time. If charge duration reduces significantly, the battery may be depleted, requiring the purchase of a new
EPS Power Unit.
IMPORTANT!
Use only water and neutral detergent to clean the EPS Power Unit. Do not use alcohol, ace-
tone or solvents.
When disposing of the EPS Power Unit, comply with applicable legislation in the country of
use.
NOTE
Never wash your bicycle using pressurised water. Pressurised water - even from a normal garden hose - may infiltrate
through the seals and into your Campagnolo
Campagnolo components by carefully cleaning them with soap and water and drying them thoroughly.

Sie am besten geeigneten Inspektionsintervall zu wählen. Wenn Sie mehr als 82 kg/180 lbs wiegen, sollten Sie besonders
darauf achten, dass Ihr Fahrrad häufiger (als bei Personen, die weniger als 82 kg/180lbs wiegen) inspektioniert wird, um

Wichtiger Hinweis zu PRODUKTLEISTUNG, SICHERHEIT und GARANTIE
Sie daran erinnern, dass es unbedingt notwendig ist, die 6 Komponenten des EPS-Antriebssystems mit den Komponenten
des mechanischen 11-Gang-Antriebssystems von Campagnolo zu benutzen, um die besten Leistungen aus Ihrem EPS-
Antriebssystem herauszuholen und die Sicherheit, die Leistungen und die Lebensdauer desselben nicht zu beeinträchtigen.
Die EPS-Komponenten dürfen keinesfalls mit nicht von Campagnolo hergestellten Komponenten benutzt werden.
Der Benutzer dieses Campagnolo

Es wird daran erinnert, dass alle Arbeiten für den Einbau, den Ausbau, die Einstellung und die Wartung des
EPS-Antriebssystems im technischen Handbuch EPS beschrieben werden, das auf unserer Homepage www.
campagnolo.com im PDF-Format zur Verfügung steht.
Bei der Montage/Demontage und Wartung der Komponenten muss das EPS-Antriebssystem durch Einsetzen
des Magneten in den entsprechenden Sitz in der Power Unit (A - Abb. 1) oder durch Anbringen eines magne-
tischen Abschaltbandes (B- Abb. 2) im sensiblen Bereich ca. 8 cm von Niet C entfernt (Abb. 2) ausgeschaltet
werden.
WARNHINWEIS
Falls es mit dem Abschalten Probleme gibt, sicherstellen, dass die Pole der 3 Magnete auf dem magnetischen
Abschaltband jeweils in dieselbe Richtung zeigen.
2 - DIAGNOSE DER EPS-GRUPPE
WICHTIG!
Die Diagnose wird vom Interface verwaltet. Wir bitten Sie daher, auf das dem Interface beiliegende
Anweisungsblatt Bezug zu nehmen.
Falls diese Power Unit mit einem EPS-Antriebssystem des Produktangebots von 2012 2013 benutzt
wird, funktioniert das Diagnosesystem NUR korrekt, wenn auch das Interface durch die Version 2014
(Artikelnr. IF14-...) ersetzt wird. Andernfalls wird keine Leuchtanzeige am Interface angezeigt, wenn
eine Störung erhoben wird.

EINSATZBEDINGUNGEN / WARTUNG DER EPS POWER UNIT
Bei der Montage/Demontage und Wartung der Komponenten muss das EPS-Antriebssystem durch Einsetzen

Da die EPS Power Unit den Batteriesatz enthält, folgende Anweisungen befolgen:

• die EPS Power Unit nicht zerlegen oder irgendwie umbauen.

• die EPS Power Unit nicht benutzen, wenn externe Schäden sichtbar sind.
• die EPS Power Unit im Falle von Verformungen oder abnormalen Zuständen nicht benutzen.
• die EPS Power Unit an einem sicheren Ort außerhalb der Reichweite von Kindern und Tieren aufbewahren.
MIT VOLLKOMMEN AUFGELADENER BATTERIE KÖNNEN ZIRKA 1700 KM ZURÜCKGELEGT WERDEN.
WENN DIE RESTLADUNG UNTER 25% ABSINKT, KÖNNEN NOCH ZIRKA 400 KM ZURÜCKGELEGT
WERDEN.
GEFAHR!
Die EPS Power Unit nicht erhitzen oder ins Feuer werden. Die EPS Power Unit nicht an Orten aufbe-
wahren, an denen die Temperatur 60°C überschreiten könnte (Fahrzeuginnenräume an heißen Tagen, in
der Nähe von Kaminen). Die Nichteinhaltung dieser Anweisungen könnte Überhitzungen, Brände und
Explosionen verursachen und zu schweren Verletzungen oder zum Tode führen.
WICHTIG!
Wenn die EPS Power Unit längere Zeit nicht benutzt wird, muss sie ausgeschaltet (indem der Magnet in die
Aufnahme in der EPS Power Unit eingesetzt wird (A - Abb.1) oder indem der vorgesehene Magnetstreifen
zum Ausschalten (B - Abb.2) benutzt wird ) und an einem sicheren Ort aufbewahrt werden. Es wird außer-
dem daran erinnert, den Batteriestatus zirka alle sechs Monate zu kontrollieren und in jedem Fall alle sechs
Monate die Batterie komplett aufzuladen.
• Die Lebensdauer der Batterie hängt von verschiedenen Faktoren wie den Einsatzbedingungen und der
Lagermethode ab. Bedenken Sie, dass Leistung und Lebensdauer der Batterie sich verringern könnten, wenn
die EPS Power Unit an zu heißen oder kalten Orten aufbewahrt wird.
• Die Batterie ist ein Verschleißprodukt und verliert in Folge der wiederholten Benutzung und im Laufe der
Zeit nach und nach an Ladekapazität. Falls die Einsatzdauer beträchtlich nachlässt, ist die Batterie mögli-
cherweise aufgebraucht, und es muss daher eine neue EPS Power Unit erworben werden.

Waschen Sie Ihr Fahrrad niemals mit unter Druck stehendem Wasser. Unter Druck stehendes Wasser, sogar das aus
einem Gartenschlauch, kann in die Dichtungen und in das Innere Ihrer Komponenten von Campagnolo
und diese irreparabel beschädigen. Waschen Sie Ihr Fahrrad und die Komponenten von Campagnolo
Seifenwasser und trocknen Sie diese sorgfältig ab.
