Replacing the system fan

Attention

Remove any media from the drives and turn off all connected devices and the computer.

Disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to
the computer.

Remove the computer cover. For details, see

Remove the storage drive. For details, see

Remove the internal speaker. For details, see

Release the illuminated red dot cable from the system fan.

Disconnect the system fan cable from the system fan connector on the system board.

Replace the system fan.

Connect the system fan cable to the system fan connector on the system board.

Install the illuminated red dot cable to the new system fan.

Reinstall the computer cover and reconnect the cables. For details, see
replacement.
