Removing the white protective film

Required work steps:
Switching off the battery
Removing the lower assy

There are white protective films on the upper part of the device. These are fitted to protect against an electrical short circuit.

In the event of replacement of the mainboard, these films are included in the scope of delivery when the mainboard is
ordered and are fitted in the device after replacement of the mainboard.
To access the components, such as memories, WLAN module, LTE module, TPM module, fan, CMOS battery or heatsink,
fold the white protective films to the side or remove them very carefully. These are fixed at points with double-sided
adhesive tape (see red arrows).
After the repair, the films must be correctly reattached.
When replacing the mainboard, these are included in the scope of delivery and are replaced accordingly.
