Quick Install Guide
for the Centillium
Telephone Adapter
Single PC connected directly to a DSL modem
– If you are using a home router, please see the other side of this sheet
– If you have a cable modem, please see other sheet
– If you have static IP (and for a description of static IP) please see instructions on
page 20 of the accompanying MTA-1 TM Telephone Adapter Install Guide
Step 1: Gather Information
Make sure you have the following information before you start your Telephone Adapter (TA) installation:
AT&T CallVantage Service AT&T CallVantage Service
User ID Password
Your 10-digit AT&T CallVantage ® You were provided or selected this
Service number (provided in your when you ordered the service; if you
order confi rmation e-mail) forgot it go to www.callvantage.att.com
and click "Forgot your password?"
Step 2: Shut Off All Equipment
IMPORTANT! Shut down and unplug each device separately (i.e.,don't simply shut off your powerstrip)

Step 3: Connect Equipment

Step 4: Turn on Equipment in Order

Step 5: Verify Your Connection

select "Keepalive" under
Settings. Click "Save

Setup complete
You can now make calls by dialing the 10-digit
number from the phone connected to your TA and use
the advanced features on www.callvantage.att.com
If you are transferring your current phone number to AT&T CallVantage
Service, you will not be able to receive calls or place 911 Emergency
Dialing calls until your number is transferred. See your order confi rmation
emails for additional details.
