NOTE: Sprin kler SIN VK500 is con tained in a plas tic cap for pro tec tion dur ing
ship ping and in stal la tion. Re move the cap from the sprin kler AFTER in stal la tion.
Max i mum Roof or Ceil ing Slope: 2 in 12 (167 mm/m or 9.5 de grees).
Note: If the ceil ing is beam and girder or panel con struc tion, lo cate sprin klers in the
bays rather than un der the beams.

ment: In stall K14.0 ESFR sprin klers with the cen ter line of the ther mal sens ing el e -
ment lo cated a max i mum of 13" (330 mm) and a min i mum of 4" (102 mm) be low the
ceil ing. NOTE: NFPA 13 in di cates the fol low ing for ESFR pen dent sprin klers hav ing
a 14.0 nom i nal K-Factor: Po si tion the de flec tor a max i mum of 14" (356 mm) and a
min i mum of 6" (152 mm) be low the ceil ing.
Align the de flec tor par al lel with the ceil ing or roof.
De flec tor Dis tance from Walls: At least 4" (102 mm) from walls, and no more than
one-half the al low able dis tance per mit ted be tween sprin klers.
Clear ance from De flec tor to Top of Stor age: At least 36" (914 mm).

high ceil ings with one row of in-rack
sprin klers*.

Part No. 10284 is FM and LPCB Ap -
proved and UL/C-UL Listed, while
Part No. 11350 is FM and VdS Ap -
proved—re fer to the Ap proval Chart.
Rated to 175 psi (1 207 kPa) wa ter work -
ing pres sure.
Fac tory tested hy dro stati cally to 500 psi
(3 447 kPa).
K-factor: Nom i nal 14.0 U.S. (20,2 met -
ric††, for use when pres sure is mea -
sured in kPa).
††Met ric K-Factor shown is for use when pres sure
