Proceed steps 1 to 3 for MP180 on page 83.

Press [Maintenance] repeatedly until <J> appears.

Press [Black] or [Color].
Inspect the discharged paper. If dust or dirt can be seen on the paper, repeat the cleaning
process.

Cleaning The Protrusions Inside The Machine

If protrusions inside the machine are stained, wipe ink off the protrusions using a swab or
something similar.

Routine Maintenance
If the discharged paper still appears dirty after you have run this cleaning
process, the inside of your machine is probably extremely dirty.
Clean the inside of the machine in accordance with the following directions.
See "Cleaning The Protrusions Inside The Machine" on page 84.
Before cleaning, be sure to turn OFF the machine.
Do not touch the transparent film (A), film cable (B), ink absorber (sponge
part) (C), or any metal parts.
