INSTALLING THE BASIC BACK WITH
STRAP ATTACHMENT
To install the Jay Basic Back, it is best to begin without a user in the
wheelchair.
The Strap Attachment version of the Basic Back is mounted over or
on top of the standard sling upholstery that typically is shipped on
most wheelchairs. For this version, do not remove sling upholstery.
1. Loosen both left and right straps (Fig. 1-A).
2. Slide straps over both back canes.
3. Secure the back by tightening the straps.
Removal
1. Remove back by unsnapping the plastic buckles on each side
(B).
2. Lift the back off the chair.

Width Adjustment (Fig. 2)
1. Loosen straps to match the width of the back canes.
2. Slide straps over both back canes.
3. Secure the back by tightening the straps.
Height and Depth Adjustment
The strap version of the Basic Back does not offer height or depth
adjustment capabilities.
