Avoid injury by doing the following:
• At regular intervals, check that the nuts and bolts are
tight as per the specified tightening torque.
• Check the pivot pins, washers and holders. Replace
missing parts.
• Tighten all the screws and all fasteners to the values
specified in the table. Refer to page 6-3 expect in
the cases where the tightening torque is specified in
the assembly instructions.
• The torques apply to clean, dry threads.
cated threads can lead to the joint being tightened
too strongly. Damaged or dirty threads can cause
torque values to be too low.
• A torque amplifier may be needed when tightening
screws to high torque values.
• Tightening torques should be checked immediately
after installation, and several times after a short pe-
riod of use. Incorrect tightening can damage the
structure of the backhoe and/or tractor.

forming work on the hydraulic system. Before applying pressure, make sure all connections are tight
and all components are in good condition. Never use your hand to check for suspected leaks under
pressure. Use a piece of cardboard or wood for this purpose. If injured by leaking fluid, see your
doctor immediately.
Failure to comply could result in death or serious injury.
