    NOTE: The memory module socket has an alignment key that enables you to install the memory module in the socket in only one orientation. CAUTION: Do not apply pressure at the center of the memory module; apply pressure at both ends of the memory module evenly.

Using your thumb and index finger, first hold the carrier release tab at the pin 1 connector, pull out the tip of the carrier release tab, and then lift the carrier partially from the heat sink. NOTE: Ensure to return the TIM break lever back to its original position.
  • Page 75 Steps 1. Place the processor in the processor tray. NOTE: Ensure the pin 1 indicator on the processor tray is aligned with the pin 1 indicator on the processor. 2. Place the processor carrier on top of the processor that is in the processor tray aligning pin 1 indicator on the processor. NOTE: Ensure the pin 1 indicator on the bracket is aligned with the pin 1 indicator on the processor before placing the bracket on the processor.

Use the thermal grease syringe included with your processor kit to apply the grease in a thin spiral on the bottom of the heat sink.
