The standard BMW Service in-
cludes the following maintenance

work:

Performing the brief test using
the BMW Motorrad diagnosis
system.
Checking the coolant level.
Check/adjust clutch play.
Checking accelerator Bowden
z
cable for ease of movement,
chafing and kinks, and play.
Checking the front/rear brake
pads and brake discs for wear.
Checking the front/rear brake
fluid level.
Visual inspection of brake lines,
brake hoses and connections.
Checking the tyre pressure and
tread depth.
Checking the toothed belt(s).
Checking the belt tension.
Checking the steering head
bearings.
Checking the side stands for
ease of movement.
Checking the center stand for
ease of movement (when a
center stand is fitted as op-
tional equipment).
Check the rear mainframe
screw connection for nominal
torque.
Check the screw connection
of the rider's footrest plates on
the left- and right-hand side for
nominal torque.
Check the eccentric clamp for
nominal torque.
Checking the lighting and sig-
nal system.
Checking that the engine start-
ing suppression works.
Final inspection and checking
for road safety.
Setting the service date and
remaining distance to service.
Checking the battery state of
charge.
Recording the BMW Service in
the on-board literature.
