SmartLink Cellular Connectivity Kit Install Instructions

The Smarktlink Cellular device enables you to add funds to your meter, perform automatic updates, and receive
alerts by using the cellular network.
What's in the Box
SmartLink cellular device Power adapter
The SmartLink Cellular device works with the following meters:
mailstation, mailstation2, DM100i, DM125, DM200L, DM225, DM300, DM400 or DM475.
1. Power up the SmartLink Cellular device and check the LED color.
Plug the power adapter into the device and into a
power outlet.
If the LED is not blinking, then that means the device is not functioning properly.

2. Check the LED color, and follow the associated actions below.

Solid blue
The device is connected. Move to step 3.
The device cannot detect any signal at your location.
Solid yellow
Go to Pitney Bowes Support URL at the end of instructions.
Move the device (and power
adapter) closer to a window or
outside wall.
Blinking yellow
Plug in the power adapter, then
check the LED color. If it turns
to solid blue, move to step 3.
USB cable Fastener strips Setup instructions
The LED should start blinking blue. This indicates
that the device is searching for signal. Wait for two
minutes, then move to step 2.

If the LED does not turn to solid blue, try these steps:
There is no need to connect the SmartLink Cellular device to your postage meter for this part.
• Move the device (and power adapter) closer to a window or outside wall.
• Plug in the power adapter as shown in step 1 and wait for five minutes. Then check the LED again.

Connect the SmartLink Cellular device to the back of your meter using the USB cable.
The LED should turn to green. This
indicates that the device is connected
to your meter and ready to use!
Attach the device to your meter with
the included Adhesive Fastener Strips.

Move the device (and power
adapter) at least 10 feet away
from any electric appliances that
could be causing interference.
Plug in the power adapter then
check the LED color. If it turns to
only solid blue, move to step 3.
Make sure that the analog phone line is disconnected from the meter.
