USING YOUR FR-200
Turning the Transceiver on
Pressing the power button for 2 seconds will activate the unit. The
speaker will play a conformation beep tone to confirm the FR-200's
activation. To turn the unit off, simply press and hold the power button
for 2 seconds. The unit will play a tone to confirm its shutdown.
Button Conformation Tones
The FR-200 will confirm each press of the up or down buttons with
a conformation tone. The tone will correspond to the current vol-
ume setting, the lower the tone, the lower the setting. A unique tone
will indicate that the limit of adjustment has been reached.
Low Battery Alert
When the batteries are in need of replacement or charging, the low
battery indicator LED will flash once every second and the
½
transceiver will sound a double beep to alert the user.
To Select a Channel
Move the channel select switch upward for
Channel A (FRS Channel 1) or downward for
Channel B (FRS Channel 8)

When the call button is pressed, the FR-200
will transmit a three-second ringing sound to all other
transceiver's tuned to the same channel. This feature
can be used to signal other parties that voice
communication is desired.
