Using the refrigerator
Setting up winter position
Set up the winter position if you are not using the refrigerator for a longer period:
➤ Release the locking hooks of the door lock by pulling them out and folding them
inwards (fig. 9, page 5). When the door is then closed, there is a wide gap. This
prevents mould from forming.
➤ Remove the batteries from the battery compartment.
Open the door in winter position as follows (fig. 0, page 6):
➤ Press very gently on the door so that the door fits on the looking hook of the door
lock.
➤ Pull the door handle towards you without opening the door.
A
NOTICE!
If you open the door at the same time as you operate the handle, the
looking hook of the door lock will be damaged.
➤ Open the door.

Using the optional battery compartment
(RML9331 only)
A
NOTICE!
• Do not use different types of batteries.
• Avoid short circuits at the contacts in the battery compartment.
The optional battery compartment is located directly behind the control panel of the
refrigerator (fig. 1 1, page 3).
You can insert eight AA batteries to create an autonomous power supply if the volt-
age cuts out due to the vehicle battery. The battery compartment switches on auto-
matically. While the power is supplied from the battery compartment the refrigerator
can only be operated with gas.
