2.
S2 - TIME WINDOW switch; Sets the period of time in
which the specified number of impacts must occur to
cause an alarm, and the CLIMB time setting must
accumulate to cause an alarm.
2a. TIME WINDOW LEDs; 4 LEDs, LED ON = switch ON.
3.
CUT switch; Sets the number of impacts that must occur
within the TIME WINDOW setting to cause an alarm.
3a. CUT LEDs; 4 LEDs, LED ON = switch ON.
4.
S4 GAIN/THRESHOLD - switch; Sets the amplification
level for the input signal from the sensor cable (4 settings -
1 low to 4 high).
4a. GAIN/THRESHOLD LEDs; 4 LEDs, LED ON = switch ON.
5.
S5 - MISC switch; S5-1 sets the frequency band filter
response. S5-2 sets the signal response level bar graph to
envelope mode, or peak mode. S5-3 sets the onboard
audio alarm to ON or OFF. S5-4 sets the calibration mode
to UCM or switch configuration.
5a. MISC LEDs; 4 LEDs, LED ON = switch ON.
6.
RESPONSE LEVEL bar LED graph - indicates the
received signal strength from the sensor cable. Yellow
LED ON indicates signal is near Threshold. Green LED
ON indicates signal is over Threshold.
7.
Activity indicator LEDs.
8.
T1 - USB connection to UCM PC.
9.
T5 - RELAY CONNECTIONS - SUPERVISION (1 - 3)
SONALERT (4, 5) Alarm (6 - 8) POWER (9, 10).
10. Cable entry port compression glands.
11. T4 - SENSOR CABLE connection.
13. T6 - LOCAL TERMINATION header, remove the shunt if a
properly terminated sensor cable is connected to the
processor.
13. Enclosure Cover Tamper switch and tamper switch lever.
Mounting/connecting the processor
Using appropriate fasteners (5 mm, 0.375 in.), mount the
enclosure at the specified location.
Follow steps 1, 2 & 3 in the Terminating/splicing procedure to
prepare the cable.
Remove 6 mm (0.25 in.) of insulation to prepare the data and
power cables. The terminals accept wires from 12 to 24 AWG.

DIP-switch calibration
1.
Set switch S5-4 to ON (switch calibration) and switch 5-2
to OFF.
2.
Cycle the processor power OFF, then ON.
Note:
To operate FlexPI using the switch settings, S5-4 must
be ON.
Setting the frequency response
Set switch S5-1 to OFF for the high band frequency response
OR set switch S5-1 to ON for the low band frequency
response. Use the high band to protect surfaces that conduct
vibrations well (e.g., steel, security cage/fencing, sheet metal,
etc.). Use the low band to protect surfaces that do not conduct
vibrations well (e.g., wood, drywall, cement, brick, stone, cinder
block, etc.).
Calibrating the gain
1.
Set switch S4-1 to ON, and all other S4 switches OFF
(Gain = 2). With no activity on the protected surface, the
