    This is a twin cylinder, L-head, air-cooled engine. It is a low emissions engine. In the state of California, the 420000 and 460000 series engines covered in this manual are certified by the California Air Resources Board to meet emissions stan- dards for 125 hours.

    FUEL TYPE OF FUEL TO USE • Use clean, fresh, regular unleaded gasoline with a minimum of 77 octane. Fresh fuel prevents gum from forming in the fuel system or on essential carburetor parts. Purchase fuel in quantity that can be used within 30 days. •...

    MAINTENANCE CLEANING DEBRIS CAUTION: Do not use water to clean engine parts. Water could contaminate fuel system. Use a brush or dry cloth. Daily or before every use, clean accumulated debris from engine. Keep linkage, springs and controls clean. Keep area around and behind muffler free of any combustible debris.
