After completing the Asus Setup Wizard as shown in the
screen shots on the next pages, come back to this page of the
manual to perform step 3.
Make sure not to skip step 3 because if you skip it, the
router will run the stock Asus firmware and will not be low
radiation!
Step 3: Now log back in to the router via router.asus.com. In the router
settings menu, click on Administration and then on the tab 'Firmware
Upgrade'. If the router proposes to upgrade the firmware, click on 'Cancel'.
You will now need the JRS Eco 100 firmware file that you downloaded from
www.jrseco.com/account
approximately 40MB in size.
Variant 1: Click on Choose File next to New Firmware File and select the
firmware file. Then click on Upload.
Variant 2: Click on Upload next to Manual Firmware Upload and select the
firmware file.
The router will install the Eco firmware and reboot. After 3 minutes the process
is complete. Congratulations! Your JRS Eco 100 firmware is now installed.
If the JRS Eco firmware has been uploaded correctly, the JRS logo should be
showing at the top of the router settings screen, when you log back in to the
router settings menu. Also, there should be a tab labeled 'JRS' on the
Wireless page, where you can adjust all Eco related settings. Here you can
also check the mode of the router. The first day, the router will be in Beacon
Eco mode (a.k.a. Learning mode). After one day it will switch to full Eco mode.
3.1. How to start over in case you can't get into the router's setup menu
anymore
