Recorder Controller/Interface

Installation Instructions

Video Recorder Control

Recorder control hardware and the corresponding utility
software enable an AD1024 system user to control
video recorders at both local and remote sites.
Operators control the video recorders via the AD2088
keyboard, substituting simple keyboard commands in
place of infrared remote control.
Systems developed after AD1024 will also support
recorder control. Particular systems developed before
AD1024 can support recorder control with appropriate
upgrade equipment (see the table on page 8 for details).
The AD Recorder/Controller interface is available for
both 120 VAC and 230 VAC applications.

  • Page 8: Testing Recorder Commands

Testing Recorder Commands Testing IR Commands via PC Prior to final hookup of the AD1024 system with recorder interface hardware, it is advisable to test the IR command set with the system video recorders in a “test bench” setting. This will verify the proper operation of the recorder interface modules while isolating the test from the physical complexities of the actual site installation.
