    THANK YOU FOR BUYING A RYOBI PRODUCT. IMPORTANT: Working in vicinity of a lead-acid battery is dangerous. Batteries generate explosive gases during normal battery operation. For this reason, it is of utmost importance that each time before using your charger, you read this manual and follow the instructions exactly.

    DESCRIPTION KNOW YOUR BATTERY CHARGER (Fig. 1) Fig. 1 1. Charging voltage selector - Make sure you have either a 12 volt or a 6 volt lead-acid battery and switch charging voltage accordingly. 2.     PREPARING TO CHARGE 1. Most motor vehicle manufacturers recommend that the battery should be disconnected from the vehicle’s electrical system before being charged. Any voltage peaks that occur may cause defects in these electronic modules. Therefore the battery should be disconnected from the electrical system before being charged.

    2. Connect red clip (3) to POSITIVE (POS, P, +) battery post. Rock clip back and forth to make good connection. (Fig. 2) 3. Connect black clip (4) to NEGATIVE (NEG, N, -) battery post. Rock clip back and forth to make a good connection. (Fig. 3) WARNING: Do not face battery when making final connection.
