Introduction
The Serial ATA Back Plane is an internal drive housing that supports four (4) hot swap Serial ATA
hard drives in a three (3) 5.25" drive space. The Serial ATA Back Plane can be installed into any
PC Case, External Enclosure, or Disk Array Chassis that has available three 5.25" half-height
drive bays. It extends the storage capacity of your system and provides hot swap capability to the
Serial ATA hard drive installed. The Serial ATA Back Plane has been tested in typical desktop
system configuration with various host bus adapters and hard drives to ensure highest
compatibility. The configuration included current 7,200 rpm and 10,000 rpm drives from the
leading suppliers of disk drives.

  • Page 3 Overheat temperature setting *** Jumper CN3 sets the overheating threshold temperature. There are three settings: 45°, 55° (default) or 65°C. Once the sensor on the backplane detects the operating temperature is over the setting. Audio alarm buzzer will sound and Fan / Temperature LED will turn red. You can turn off the alarm buzzer by press the mute bottom with a pointed object.
