Using the FAVORITE feature

The FAVORITE feature is a 9-picture multi-scan of the channels you
programmed in the TV memory using the FAVORITE CH function.
To start the FAVORITE feature:
1. Press FAVORITE to scan the channels you programmed in the
TV memory using the favorite channel function (page 24).
A 9-picture multi-window search will start. The first window will
display a moving picture.
2. Press y z x • to select the channel you want to see. (The
selected channel will display a moving picture in the multi-
window)
3. Press ENTER to display the channel you selected in step 2 as a
normal picture.

Each time you press FAVORITE, the display will change in the
following order:
FAVORITE CH1—— FAVORITE CH2 —— off
To cancel the FAVORITE feature:
Press FAVORITE once or twice.

Using the STROBE feature

The Strobe feature is convenient when watching a quickly moving
picture, such as a sports program. For example, you can watch a
decisive moment of a sports program that was previously recorded.
To start the STROBE feature:
Press STROBE. A 9-picture strobe starts for the current main picture.
To cancel the STROBE feature:
Press STROBE again.

Note:
• When the main picture source is
ColorStream, the FAVORITE and STROBE
features are not available.
• During FAVORITE channel scanning, if the
V-CHIP feature is active and you try to scan
a TV program that exceeds the rating limits
you set, a black window will appear with an
"X" in the upper right corner. The V-CHIP
may not block channels properly during
FAVORITE channel scanning.
NOTICE OF POSSIBLE ADVERSE
EFFECTS ON TV PICTURE TUBE
Avoid displaying stationary images on
your TV screen for extended periods of
time. Fixed (non-moving) images (such
as still PIP/POP windows or black/gray
bars in wide-screen picture or PIP/POP
formats) can become permanently
engrained in the picture tube. This type
of damage is NOT COVERED BY
YOUR WARRANTY because it is the
result of misuse. See item 33 on page 4.
