Channel-related diagnostics

Channel-related diagnostics provides information about channel faults in modules
(in this case: 3RW5 soft starters) again and provides details of the identifier-related
diagnostics. The channel-related diagnostics starts after device-related diagnostics
(module status).
Channel-related diagnostics does not affect the module status.
The maximum number of channel-related diagnostic messages depends on whether an
H status and an interrupt are present. The slave diagnostics includes up to 240°bytes. If the
slave diagnostics contains an H status and an interrupt with 62 bytes, up to 51
channel-related diagnostics messages are possible (see also station status 3, bit 7).
Structure of the channel-related diagnostics
A channel-related diagnostic message is always 3 bytes long. Depending on the number of
channel-related diagnostic messages, the channel-related diagnostics can have different
lengths. Using the variable i (byte i), the last byte of the channel-related diagnostics is
explained.
You will find an overview of the error types in chapter Error types (Page 86).
