Alternate Video 5/6 Input Path - Used For Troubleshooting Only - Sony KD-34XBR2 Training Manual

The video patterns are generated on the QM board taking the following path to OSD IC8801 in Chart 15-3.
Alternate Video 5/6 input Path – used for troubleshooting only
(Q box video bypass is NOT fully tested)
Purpose
All video must pass through the Q box, including TV. When the Q box video path operation is in question, HD
1080i video 5 or 6 input can be routed in a direct path to the CRT if the service mode is operational.
Alternate Signal Path
This alternate path is from the input, B board, A board and C board to the CRT for a normal picture. Refer to
Figure 15-2 and see the Video Processing for details of the alternate signal path.
