Disclaimer
This product has been tested to the relevant Australian design rules. Toyota is not responsible
for any direct or indirect damage or injury caused by the intentional misuse of this product.
This product must be installed in accordance with supplied fitting instructions. The Toyota 12V
Auxiliary Power Socket must not be altered in any way.
The 12V Auxiliary Power Socket includes Smart Circuitry that is designed to isolate any
connected devices before the vehicle's battery state of charge is reduced to a level which may
compromise vehicle restart. We recommend users limit the number of times they discharge the
vehicle's battery to the point of isolation cut off, as repeated discharging may reduce the life of
the vehicle battery. External factors which may influence the cut off include (but not limited to):
-
Poor vehicle battery health. This includes batteries which have been damaged from previous
flattening or the age of the vehicle battery. Vehicle batteries in this condition hold reduced
charge.
-
Extreme temperatures.
-
Other uncontrolled accessories connected directly to the vehicle battery (not monitored
through the 12V Auxiliary Power Socket).
If any of the above circumstances are present, we recommend caution when running any
connected device into battery protection mode.
Important
Do not use a high pressure spray to clean the 12V
Auxiliary Power Socket.
