Find a spare power jack inside the computer, and plug it
into the four-pin connector at the right of the rear panel of
the drive.
Note
If there is no free power cable, you may need to obtain a
Y-junction cable. Refer to the documentation supplied with
your computer for details.

Connect the interface cable between the DV IN/OUT
connector on the DRV-1000/1000P and the digital video
codec card or other DV device.
Note
The above is the most typical connection, but for other
applications you may wish to use other interface
connections.
For example, if you are using an analog codec card,
connect it to the analog AUDIO and VIDEO jacks.
For details of all of the interface connectors, see "Rear
panel" on page 7.
