CHECKOUT • TROUBLESHOOTING/ALARMS
IMPORTANT: Before applying power to the W7600 Con-
trol Module, the W7600 analog and digital inputs and
outputs may have to be configured using the procedure
outlined in the Programming section. Configuration is
necessary when the preprogrammed parameters of the
software are not acceptable for user application. This
configuration process should be done before the W7600
is installed and wired.
The checkout process has two tasks. First, it is necessary
to follow the instructions under Initial Checkout to ensure
that the W7600 system was installed and all points are
operational. Second, if problems or inconsistencies de-
velop, run the Installer Test. (See the W7600 Control
Module Specification, form 63-4307.) This test may be run
for only one type of point such as analog inputs. It should be
done when problems are indicated in the initial checkout.
This section provides step-by-step procedures to correct
problems that may occur with the W7600. The symptom is
provided selecting the appropriate troubleshooting proce-
dure.
IMPORTANT: Before troubleshooting the W7600 EPROM
installation system, the W7600 analog and digital inputs
and outputs should be configured (using the ZM7601
Configuration Tool Software and a PC) to meet the
application requirements. This configuration process
should be done before the W7600 is installed and wired.
The W7600 system will not work properly unless the
configuration process is completed.
The alarm descriptions are divided into two sections,
those related to the equipment being controlled and those
related to the W7600 itself.
NOTE: Alarm priority level 99 is the lowest prior-
ity and will not generate an alarm in the con-
troller or on the network for analog inputs. This
eliminates multiple alarms on the network when
datasharing from a source point. All other
alarms with priority 99 will generate alarms in
the controller and on the network.
The list below includes the alarms that could be dis-
played because of equipment or sensor problems. These
alarms are self-explanatory and the remedy for each alarm
is to check the equipment or sensor for correct operation.

INITIAL CHECKOUT
Apply power after the W7600 has been configured to
accept the inputs and control the outputs of the W7600/
W7601. Use the S7600 Keyboard Display Module and
menu maps at the end of the Programming section to
review the digital and analog input and output status of each
connected load or input. To do this, follow these proce-
dures:
1. Connect the S7600 to the W7600 Control Module (if
not already connected as part of the W7600 system).
2. Perform the following tests:
• Check analog input status.
• Check the digital input status.
• Force the digital outputs to energize.
• Force the analog output from 0 to 100 percent by
using the analog output override function.
• If any of the steps do not operate as expected,
proceed to the Troubleshooting section for further
instructions, or to the Installer Test. (See the W7600
Control Module Specification, form 63-4307.)
