Upgrading the ROM
To upgrade the Cisco 3600 series firmware to a new ROM monitor, you must replace the existing
ROM.
In addition to the tools described in the section "Tools and Equipment Required" earlier in this
document, you also need:

Inserting Flash-Memory SIMMs
1. Insert the SIMM into the socket
at an angle from vertical.
2. Push the top of the SIMM
down and back.
