Removing the microSD card
1. Slide the microSD card holder
backwards to release it, and lift it up.
2. Remove the microSD card.
3. Slide the card holder forwards to
lock it.

Charging the battery

The battery is not fully charged when
first unpacked.
1. Attach the larger end of the provided
data cable to the power adapter.
2. Plug the smaller end of the data cable
into the connector jack on the left
edge of your phone with the arrow
showing upwards.
3. Plug the power adapter to an appro-
priate wall socket and charge for at
least 4 hours.
4. Once the phone is fully charged, re-
move the data cable from both the
wall socket and the phone.
Alternatively, you can connect the phone
to the USB port on your computer with
the provided data cable for charging.
Getting started
• Do not remove the battery while
charging.
• It takes approximately 4 hours to fully
charge a battery.
• When the battery is discharged, the
charging process may not start immedi-
ately when you plug in the connector.
Wait 10 to 15 minutes for the phone to
begin charging.
• Charging is only possible within a
temperature range of 0 °C (+32 °F) to
+45 °C (+113 °F).
When the battery is low, you will be
warned by an alert sound.

Switching the phone on
1. Press and hold
phone on. The phone will display the
welcome animation (page 47).
2. When asked, enter your PIN code
and confirm with
The PIN (Personal Identification
Number) is the password provided by
your network operator. You need this
password in order to use the SIM card.
When the PIN code entered has been
accepted, the phone will automatically
search for the designated network. This
search process may take a few seconds.
