Program your TV
Programming your VX42L is a simple TWO STEP process.
All you need is your Remote Control.
STEP 1
Connect your Signal Source to the DTV/TV connection,
go to STEP 2 .

Please Note:
• Be sure the batteries in your
remote are inserted correctly.
For advanced setups, refer to chapter 3 of your VX42L User Manual.

STEP 2
On your Remote Control...
 Turn on the TV, the Initial Setup screen
should appear. If this screen does not appear
see User Manual Chapter 3 for TV Tuner Setup.
 Select Language; English, Français, Espanol.
 Press — or once to select Cable or Antenna.
Select Cable if you are using cable from the
wall or Air if you are using an antenna.
 Press — to continue to the next screen.
 Press on on remote to scan for channels.
Scanning for available channels could take
several minutes.
 Once scanning is finished, programming is
complete.
 For more detailed information see Chapter 3
of your User Manual.
Consult your Cable or Satellite Owner's Manual to determine if you need a 3, 4 or 5-digit code.
If your Cable or Satellite Box requires:
• 3-digits, please use "627" (This code usually works with DISHNetwork.)
• 4-digits, please use "1758", "0178" or "0128"
• 5-digits, please use "11758","10178" or "10128" (These codes usually work for DIRECTV.)

Includes the Basic service plus wall mounting with surface-routing cabling
• Removing the stand from your VIZIO TV

Premium
Includes the Basic service plus wall mounting with in wall cabling
• Removing the stand from your VIZIO TV
• Mounting and securing the TV to the wall
• Concealing your video and audio cables in a standard frame wall
• Concealing your power cable with track molding if necessary
All-Inclusive HDTV
Includes equipment and installation for local off-air HDTV broadcast
• HDTV antenna optimized for your location
• Up to 125 feet of antenna cabling
• If needed up to 2 diplexers, antenna mount, mast, pre-amplifier, splitters
• Connecting antenna to your VIZIO TV
Extended Service Plans
We recommend you register your VIZIO product either at our website www.vizio.com or fill in your
registration card and mail it in. For peace of mind and to protect your investment beyond the standard
warranty, VIZIO offers on-site extended warranty service plans. Extended service plans are offered at 2,
3, 4 and 5 years. These plans give you additional coverage during the standard warranty period. Visit our
