    Introduction Thank you for purchasing the ViviCam 5015 5.1 Mega-Pixel Digital Camera. Everything you need to take quality digital photos and videos is included with your camera. Your digital camera can also be used as a removable disk. It enriches your life.

    Preparing Your Camera for Use Battery Installation Your camera requires 2 AAA batteries. To insert the batteries into the camera: Slide and open the battery compartment at the bottom of the camera. Please make sure that the batteries are inserted with the correct polarity facing up. Close the battery door.

    Note: If you don’t intend to use your camera for an extended period of time, please remove the batteries to avoid battery leakage and corrosion. Please don’t remove the batteries or power off your camera before downloading the test photos or videos when you have not inserted an SD card.
  • Page 8 Push the card in until you feel it “click” into position. The top of the card should be flushed with the surface of the camera. An icon Once the external memory card is inserted into the camera all the images taken with the camera will be stored on the card.
  • Page 9: Starting Your Camera

    If there are photos in the internal memory when you insert the card into your camera, “copy SDRAM file to your card, please wait…” will appear on the screen. The media will now be copied to your card. When you take out the SD memory card, “Card removed, change to Internal RAM” will appear on the LCD screen.
  • Page 10 Please download the test images to your computer using the Vivitar Experience Image Manager software as described below in the section “Transfer photos and videos to your computer” as soon as possible or insert an SD memory card in order to take more images! Flash Your camera has a built in flash function which enables you to take photos when the light condition is not good.
  • Page 11 Note: A “Low Power” message will appear on the LCD screen, if you select the flash function when the battery power is insufficient. To continue using the camera with the flash, please install new batteries. Digital Zoom function You can magnify your subject using the digital zoom. Use the T and W buttons to adjust the zoom. Press the T button to zoom in on your subject.
  • Page 12 Change Image Resolution Please insert a SD memory card first for image resolution changing. Press the Menu button. Press the Up/Down button to select the RESOLUTION option. Press the Shutter button. Press the Up/Down button to select one of the following resolutions 5M/3M/2M/VGA. Press the Shutter button again to confirm your selection.
  • Page 13 Press the Up/Down button to select the FREQUENCY option. Press the Shutter button. Press the Up/Down button to select 50HZ or 60HZ. Press the Shutter button to confirm. Anti-shake function Your Digital Camera has a function that prevents photos coming out blurry as a result of trembling or shaking while the photo is being taken.

    Press the Menu button. Press the Up/Down button and select Default. Press the Shutter button. Press the Up/Down button to select “Yes” or “No”. Press the Shutter button to confirm. Video Mode The Video Mode allows you to shoot high quality movies. In order to use this mode an SD card needs to be inserted into the camera to expand the camera’s capacity.
  • Page 15 Note: “Insert an SD Memory Card” will appear on the LCD screen when you press the shutter button where no SD memory was previously inserted. You can playback the AVI file by using Quick Time or Windows Media Player once it has been downloaded to your computer.

    Playback Mode You can preview your photos in this mode. Power on your camera. Press the Down button to enter the Playback Mode. An icon will appear on the upper left corner of the LCD. Press the Shutter button to exit to the standby mode.
  • Page 17 Delete photo and/or videos You may delete images directly from the memory card on your camera. The images can only be deleted while in the playback mode. In playback mode, press the Menu button. Press the Up/Down button to select one of the following options: “Delete One”...
  • Page 18 Print your photos Your camera supports the PictBridge printing function that allows you to print photos any time directly from the camera’s memory to a connected printer. In the playback mode press the Up/Down button to select a photo you want to print out. Press the Menu button.

    Install the Vivitar Experience Image Manager Software Warning: Do not plug your camera into the computer until the software installation is complete. You must be connected to the internet to install and run the Vivitar Experience Image Manager software. Insert the installation CD into your CD-ROM drive. The installation screen should automatically open.

  • Page 21 On PC and Macintosh: Click the “I accept the terms of this license agreement” and then click “Next” to continue. 10. On PC only: Let the “Vivitar Experience Image Manager” installer create the folder to where the program will be installed, and then click “Install”.

    Connect your camera to the computer Use the USB cable that came with your camera to connect your camera to your computer. Turn your camera on. The first time you connect the device to the computer you will have to wait a few seconds until the computer recognizes the device.

    We recommend that you copy the images into the Pictures folder and the videos into the Movies folder. Do not disconnect the cable during transfer.     SD memory card. We recommend always downloading your photos to your computer as soon as possible to prevent unintentional data loss. Q: I deleted images using the Vivitar Experience Image Manager. The photo was also deleted from my computer. How do I recover photos that I accidently deleted? All images deleted using the Vivitar Experience Image Manager are sent to your computer`s Recycle or Trash Bin and can be retrieved from there.
