    • If the lower part of the device overheats, it could be because the connected USB cable is damaged. Replace the damaged USB cable with a new Samsung-approved one.

  • Page 15 Basics Charging the S Pen The S Pen must be charged before you can control apps remotely by using the S Pen button. When the S Pen and the S Pen charger are properly aligned, charging will begin. If the Air action feature is deactivated, the S Pen is only charged while the device is being charged.

    Charge the battery before using it for the first time or when it has been unused for extended periods. Use only Samsung-approved battery, charger, and cable specifically designed for your device. Incompatible battery, charger, and cable can cause serious injuries or damage to your device.

  • Page 19 Basics Insert the ejection pin into the hole on the tray to loosen the tray. Ensure that the ejection pin is perpendicular to the hole. Otherwise, the device may be damaged. Pull out the tray gently from the tray slot. Place the SIM or USIM card on the tray with the gold-coloured contacts facing upwards.

    To view your device’s maximum memory card capacity, refer to the Samsung website. • Some memory cards may not be fully compatible with the device. Using an incompatible card may damage the device or the memory card, or corrupt the data stored in it.

Select a nearby device or a SmartThings device to control it, or select a scene to launch it.

    Apps and features S Pen features Air actions Control apps remotely by using the S Pen connected to your device via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). For example, you can quickly launch apps, such as the camera app, by pressing and holding the S Pen button.
