    Before installing your IntelliComm II, review and understand all warnings, safety and warranty information in this guide. Failure to follow these instructions or improper installation of the cleaner can result in damage to the pool finish or the vinyl liner, Pentair Aquatic Systems disclaims any liability for repairs or replacement to any of these structures or components of the customer’s pool.
  • Page 3 The pool owner must assume all responsibility for the condition and maintenance of the pool’s surface, water and deck. Before the IntelliComm II is installed, please take a moment to record the serial number. You will be asked for this number when you contact our Technical Support Department.
  • Page 4 Connecting IntelliComm II to a Valve Actuator A Valve Actuator can be connected from the automation control system circuit board to any one of the IntelliComm II input terminals (1-4) by splicing into the valve actuator cable using the provided two-wire input terminal cable.
  • Page 5 Section 4 Connecting IntelliComm® II to IntelliFlo Connection from IntelliComm II to an IntelliFlo VF or IntelliFlo VSD pump is via a 15 m RS-485 communication cable (P/N 350122), which is included in this kit. Note: Connect m³/h - RPM 1, 2, 3, and 4 to any control output or auxiliary relay circuit (RELAY 1-4) on the automation circuit board.
  • Page 6 Note: If the IntelliFlo VSD pump is turned on manually by pressing a Speed button and the Start button, it will run the speed that was pressed and the LED above this button will be illuminated. If it then gets a command to run a speed from the IntelliComm II, it will run the new commanded speed and the LED above the new speed will be illuminated.
  • Page 7 Section 5 IntelliFlo Pump Warnings and Alarm Conditions The IntelliFlo VSD alarms and warnings are indicated by flashing LEDs on the control panel. For example, if a “Drive Temperature” warning occurs, the LED will blink two times, then Off, then blink two times. This sequence is repeated until the condition is cleared. Warning condition: If a warning condition occurs the pump will be continue to run but at a reduced speed.

  • Page 12 Abschnitt 3 IntelliComm® II Schnittstellenadapter – Anschlüsse Schraubklemme: Zum Anschluss der Pumpe über ein zweipoliges 15-m-Kommunikationskabel (Art.-Nr. 350122), das mit der Pumpe mitgeliefert wird.   • Page 13 Abschnitt 4 Verbindung von IntelliComm® II mit IntelliFlo Die Verbindung der IntelliComm  II mit einer IntelliFlo VF- oder IntelliFlo VSD-Pumpe erfolgt über ein 15-m-RS-485- Kommunikationskabel (Art.-Nr. 350122), das diesem Paket beigefügt ist. Hinweis: Verbinden Sie m³/h – U/min 1, 2, 3 und 4 mit einem beliebigen Steuerausgang oder Hilfsrelaisausgang (RELAIS 1–4) auf der Automatisierungsleiterplatte.
  • Page 14 Einrichten einer IntelliFlo VF-Pumpe mit IntelliComm II Die IntelliFlo VF-Pumpe kann, falls gewünscht, mit den gesamten eigenständigen Funktionen betrieben werden. So kann die Pumpe zum Beispiel Filterzyklen, Sanduhrfunktionen 1 und 2 und Tageszeitplanung der Funktionen 3–9 ausführen. Wenn IntelliComm II der Pumpe einen Befehl sendet, während die Pumpe den Filterzyklus oder die Funktionen 3–9 ausführt, hat der IntelliComm II-Befehl unabhängig vom Durchfluss Priorität.
  • Page 15 Abschnitt 5 Warnungen und Alarmzustände für die IntelliFlo-Pumpe Die Alarme und Warnungen der IntelliFlo VSD werden durch blinkenden LEDs auf dem Bedienfeld angezeigt. Wenn zum Beispiel eine „Antriebstemperatur“-Warnung auftritt, blinkt die LED zwei Mal, erlischt dann und blinkt erneut zwei Mal. Diese Abfolge wird wiederholt, bis der Zustand gelöscht wird.
  • Page 16 Abschnitt 6 Montage des IntelliComm II Schnittstellenadapters Die Abdeckhaube des IntelliComm II Schnittstellenadapters (7,4 x 5,5 cm) kann wie folgt montiert werden: • Auf der inneren Rückwand des Niederspannungsraums in einem Sicherungskasten mithilfe des mitgelieferten Montageklebebands. • Auf einer flachen Oberfläche mithilfe der beiden Befestigungsschrauben. Wählen Sie einen trockenen, überdachten Standort innerhalb von 3 Metern des Sicherungskastens aus.

  • Page 20 Een klepregelaar kan vanop de elektrische kaart van het automatische regelsysteem aangesloten worden op gelijk welke inputterminal van IntelliComm II (1-4). Dit door de kabel van de klepregelaar met de kabel (2 draden) voor de inputterminal te verbinden. Stroomvoeding (9-24 VDC) op IntelliComm II aansluiten De IntelliComm II vergt een 9-24VDC, 200mA stroomvoeding.
  • Page 21 Deel 4 IntelliComm® II op IntelliFlo aansluiten De verbinding van IntelliComm II naar een IntelliFlo VF- of IntelliFlo VSD-pomp loopt via een 15 m lange RS-485-communicatiekabel (P/N 350122) die in deze kit inbegrepen is. Opmerking: sluit m³/u - t/min 1, 2, 3, en 4 aan op gelijk welke regeloutput of gelijk welk hulprelais (RELAY 1-4) op de elektrische kaart van het automatische regelsysteem.

  • Page 23 Deel 5 Waarschuwingen en alarmsituaties bij de IntelliFlo-pomp De IntelliFlo VSD signaleert alarmsituaties en waarschuwingen met knipperende leds op het bedieningspaneel. Bij de waarschuwing ‘Drive Temperature’ (temperatuur aandrijving) bijvoorbeeld knippert de led twee keer, waarna hij uitschakelt en dan weer twee keer knippert.
  • Page 24 Deel 6 De IntelliComm II-interfaceadapter monteren De behuizing van de IntelliComm II-interfaceadapter (7,4 x 5,5 cm) kan als volgt gemonteerd worden: • Op de achterkant (binnenzijde) van het laagspanningscompartiment in een voedingsblok, met de bijgeleverde montagekleefband. • Op een vlak oppervlak, met de twee bevestigingsschroeven. Kies een droge en overdekte plek op minder dan 3 meter afstand van het voedingsblok.
