When one of these buttons of the repeater is pushed, nothing will happen. These are only active when the course setter/course
alarm function is enabled. When the enable signal is present the heading of the moment the enable signal was set, is the reference
heading or set course. When one of these switches is pushed once the set heading will increase or decrease by 0.1°. If the present
heading regarding the set heading is more then 10° an alarm will sound. A potential free switch (relais) is also closed, which makes
it possible to connect an external alarm unit. The output voltage for connection to a riverpilot is 20mV/°.
The set heading can be made visable with an extra repeater, which will hold the set heading and the compass card will not turn,
except when its increase or decrease switches is pushed. For the extra repeater an extra pcb is needed to be able to drive the
repeater. When the enable signal is not present the extra repeater will function as a normal compass repeater.
Illumination :
Illumination can be adjusted with the adjust illumination switch. To increase the level of illumination press the dimmer switch
once and illumination will increase 1 step. When the maximum is reached the illumination will go to minimum level the next time
the dimmer switch is pressed.
Power failure :
When the main power supply is failing or below 18Vdc an alarm will sound and the power indicator led will be switched off.
System will still be operational but the alarm will only stop if the main power supply is restored.
Make sure the the emergency power is also present and above 18Vdc or the power failure alarm will not be operational.
